Terms and Conditions
Your travel has been booked by The Travel Project (“us” or “we”), on the basis of the following terms and conditions. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. The person making the booking acts on behalf of all other travellers included on the booking.
Passport, Visas & Immigration
It is your responsibility to fulfil the passport, visa and other immigration requirements for all countries applicable to your itinerary. You should confirm these with the relevant High Commissions, embassies and/ or consulates. We do not accept any responsibility in the case of you being unable to travel due to not complying with any of the requirements. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your date of return to Australia.
Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
All cancellation and change requests must be submitted in writing.
The following fees apply to all bookings:
– Changes to Domestic bookings will incur a fee of $30 per passenger
– Changes to International bookings will incur a fee of $100 per passenger
– Cancellations to Domestic bookings will incur a fee of $50 per passenger
– Cancellations to International bookings will incur a fee of $200 per passenger
In addition, bookings may also incur supplier fees which in some cases can be 100% of the total cost of the booking. Where we are waiting on a refund from a supplier, we will not process the refund until we have received the refund from that supplier.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended by the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade for all overseas travel. As such, we highly recommend that all travellers take out adequate travel insurance cover. Upon request, we can provide a quote for travel insurance but any information provided will
be general in nature and we recommend reading the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) to ensure the coverage meets your personal and travel needs. It is your personal responsibility to purchase travel insurance with adequate cover for any liability which may be incurred to us or a service provider in addition to personal coverage. Evidence of such insurance may be required by one or
more service providers on your booking and should be produced on request.
Travel Advice & Vaccinations
Australian residents should refer to the travel advice provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs at www.dfat.gov.au or www.smartraveller.gov.au. Vaccinations may be required for your destinations and while your travel expert may be able to provide general information regarding these requirements, it is your responsibility to ensure you have received all necessary medical treatment required for your itinerary. We recommend you visit your GP or a specialised travel
doctor before embarking on your journey.
All prices quoted are subject to availability and are not confirmed until payment has been made and your travel expert has advised the money has been received. In some circumstance’s prices may change due to matters out of our control and these may include but are not limited to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges and tax increases.
As airline taxes are subject to change they will only be confirmed at the time your airline ticket is issued. Some airports may also charge an additional local tax independent of your pre-arranged travel.
We recommend that you contact each service provider at least 48 hours prior to travel to confirm your scheduled itinerary.
Limitation of Liability
We act as an agent on behalf of our clients and use third party providers for the travel arrangements offered. Whilst we act in our clients’ best interest, we cannot be held responsible (Statutory Rights of clients withstanding) for travel interruptions and/or disappointment relating to but not limited to:
Acts of God; inclement weather; schedule changes; third party customer service; interactions between the client and third party providers; services booked outside of the agreed contract; change of mind and personal preferences.
